ILLUSTRATIONS BY JON STICH I have been creating pictures since I was nine years old, when my father took me to a Red Lobster and I scrawled all over the menu. The first person to be bothered by my artwork was my seventh grade math teacher Mr. Schaffsma, who became angered by my decision to draw a detailed rendition of a gentleman enthusiastically pooping. Since then, I have somehow managed to create and sell artwork of the same quality. A 2004 graduate of the California College of Arts & Crafts, I live and work in lovely Oakland, Ca.
Here's a list of a few of the wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with:
Bloomberg Businessweek, The New York Observer, Smithsonian Magazine, Sports Illustrated KIDS, MTV, Chronicle Books, Adult Swim, The SF Giants, The Phoenix New Times, Minnesota Monthly, Yahoo!, General Mills, Vibe, The SF Chronicle, The Bold Italic, HOW Design, Atlanta Magazine, The Nashville Scene, Adbusters, Johns Hopkins University, The Source, Heeb, Hyphen, Esquire Russia, Felony & Mayhem Press, The Bay Area Alternative Press, The University of Denver, The Girl Scouts of America, The City Paper, Grist.org, and California Magazine
I'm spreading myself around the internet - see below for more.
